We're All A Little Nuts

The irony of the fact that today is National Nut Day is not lost on me.  I feel like I've been dealing with all kinds of nuts today - and not just those of the culinary variety.  I have no desire to delve into any of that here any deeper, so I'll repeat my facebook request here as well - if you're reading this right now and could offer up a Serenity Prayer on my behalf (my personal fave) I would be most appreciative.  The first line of it has been my mantra since about 9am this morning...

Needless to say, I'm not going to draw this out tonight.  We've already celebrated all different varieties of nuts this year, so tonight I picked almonds and peanuts.  We had Almond Chinese Chicken Casserole for dinner tonight (Grant said Chinese and Casserole really don't belong in the same sentence, but this was fabulous!) and then I made peanut butter haystacks with marshmallows for dessert.  On a pretty nutty day, the nut should consider itself celebrated.

Boston Cream Pie, PTA Meeting, Canning, a video/phone conference for work, catching up with Jen - it promises to be a very full Wednesday around here.  Until then...
