OK, Kayla, what did you learn today?
"I learned that pumpkins don't talk."
Oh how I love my Bean. Grant and I desperately avoided eye contact as I concurred with my princess that she was correct, pumpkins do not talk. I couldn't bring myself to ask her what had caused her to 'learn' this today. I was having a hard enough time keeping a straight face, there was no way I was going to be able to take it any further. I suppose that maybe today I learned that when you ask a three year old what they learned, you are guaranteed a laugh.
Happy National Guacamole Day! We celebrated here tonight with Guacamole Chicken Melts (Mom, think Dad would totally love these. Let me know if you want the recipe)
Also today, my petite Picasso was hard at work (people should be watching their mailboxes. Today she even wrote letters to accompany her pictures), we grocery shopping, Mikayla made salsa (all by herself!) and we hit up the library after dinner. Phew, another busy one! Tomorrow is picture day for the Bean, school for Noah, Mom time with a friend for me while Bean's at school and then heading up to the Church to work on the MOPS bulletin board and I think we'll be fitting some apple dumplings in there somehow. Goodness :-p Until then...
The medium of choice today was crayons and stickers
She ran around for five minutes before we left singing "I'm a rock star" decked out like this
Getting ready to make some salsa
I am so too cool to pose for this picture, Mom
Guacamole, num num num
Guacamole Chicken Melt - super yum if you're a guac fan!
Oh, ask, please ask. I need to know how one knows that pumpkins don't talk. Although I've never heard The Great Pumpkin speak . . . .
ReplyDeleteSo not going there! I'll let you ask her the next time you talk to her ;-)
