The way the cookie crumbles

I am happy to report that I think our Leprechaun has moved on to greener pastures.  (Aren't I just a laugh riot)  There were no further shenanigans and things seem to have gone back to normal.  Noah went back to school and is (again, for the third time) the Star this week.

Today is National Oatmeal Cookie Day.  I decided to stick to a purist route and not overcrowd my cookie with the usual assortment of chocolate chips or nuts.  It says Oatmeal Cookie not a regular cookie, with a few oats and a lot of other mix-ins.  I even found a recipe that used old fashioned oats as opposed to quick oats.  Then someone in my house said "what about oatmeal cream pies?" Oh alright, I relented a bit.  I did turn some of my beautiful oatmeal cookies into the sandwich pieces crushing together some marshmallowy goodness.  I did have to smile a little bit when compliments went to the cookies by themselves and not the cream pie version.  Take that marshmallow cream!

Another weird combo tomorrow (chocolate caramel and poultry - seriously?!?!) but we'll be taking them both on in Kid Kitchen.  Until then...
