Cruisin' Through Friday!

Super quick post, but lots of pictures to make up for it!  I ran around like a crazy person with the kiddos making Authentic New York Style BagelsCrispy Potato Chip CookiesNew York Apple Muffin (Official State Mufffin), cleaning the house, doing laundry and overall just getting ready for our company to come in. Everyone arrived and after a little bit of playtime we headed off to the Dream Cruise Parade.  Didn't take any pictures there of the vehicles, too many cool things to see to decide what was picture worthy.  Not sure if/when I'll get a post up tomorrow as we're going to do the Melon Festival and the Tigers game!  So until next time..

New York Fun Fact of the Day:  The Statue of Liberty is 101 feet tall from base to torch, 305 feet tall from pedestal foundation to torch. She has a 35-foot waist and an 8-foot index finger, and she weighs 450,000 pounds.

Ready for some more New York Kid Kitchen

Breaking up the chips

Potato Chip Cookies (Rumor has it that the potato chip originated in Saratoga Springs so we had to do something to celebrate!)

These were a HUGE hit here, will definitely hang on to this recipe

Today's movie/lunch - An American Tale!  The kiddos pointed out the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island right away

Making bagels

Mmmm, New York bagels!

These were definitely worth my tracking down the malt syrup

These are the official state muffin of New York

And will be fabulous for breakfast tommorrow!

And if I didn't do QUITE enough today, I got the NY scrapbook page done, too

Two of my favorite little boys in the world at the Dream Cruise Parade
