Happy Friday from the Hills! It's been one of those days where I know I've tied up a lot of loose ends. I got the proof OK'd for the Beechview Directory (so excited - it's now off to the printer and should be back by next week. This will be the earliest it's ever been distributed. After last year this is HUGE!), gave a mini piano lesson to a friend who just got a new piano (jealous!), made Hotel Utah Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup for tonight's dinner, picked up the Bean and ran to the grocery store after school, had the Bean's assistance in making a Chipped Chocolate Pie for tonight's dessert (This recipe is from Utah Senator Orrin Hatch!), got the Utah scrapbook page done, struggled through making these really cool Copycat Pizza Factory Breadsticks (they come from The Pizza Factory - a restaurant in Utah that is known for these really cool breadstick twists. I should have gone with my gut about the dough being too soft to stay on the sticks like it does in the recipe during its second proof period. No worries, I came up with a more than acceptable Plan B for rolling them out and everyone LOVED them!), logged in some time at work, grabbed Noah from the bus and then headed home for an evening full of fun, food, play and games with the wonderful Janoch crew. It was JUST the way to end a week full of ups and downs. (Which reminds me, thanks to all for the love yesterday and the reminder that you really ARE out there reading :-p)
Scouting for food in the morning here, then not exactly sure what our Saturday will look like. Most likely the Michigan game in the afternoon, Church, and not sure what else. On Sunday we're off on our annual trip to Bronner's to pick this year's Christmas tree ornaments. Added bonus - my parents are going to join us! The kids are super excited and are already telling me what they want (I'll give you two hins from the Bean - it starts with fro and ends with zen...). Looking forward to it for sure. I'll be back tomorrow to fill you in on whatever we end up doing for sure. So until then...
