Racing for the Roses

Did you watch the 140th race of the Kentucky Derby?  Did you wear your fanciest duds and wildest hats?  Did your blood get hot for the two most exciting minutes in sports?

We did!

And whether you chose California Chrome or not (none of us did) it was still an exciting race.  Noah's pick of Chitu and Morgan's pick of Uncle Sigh actually led the majority of the race.  We had to spend a little while explaining to Noah that it's OK that his horse didn't win, it's the fun and excitement of watching that makes it special.  (That and the fact that we didn't have any actual money staked on it, hehehe)

Pictures will say it all today, can't even begin to cover it all.  Happy Derby Day!

Kentucky Fun Fact of the Day:  The Lost River Cave and Valley Bowling Green includes a cave with the shortest and deepest underground river in the world. It contains the largest cave opening east of the Mississippi.
