First Snow

Well, I knew it was going to happen eventually; that dirty white stuff was going to come blowing into our lives! Last night we had the first measurable snow of the season and my kids went gaga over it :) They were up running around the house begging to go outside and play in it at quarter 'til eight this morning. I, being such a nice mom, eventually gave in and let them go run around in it for a bit.

As of 2pm most of it has melted and gone, but I can only imagine that this is only the beginning of a looonnnnggg winter ;-)

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Happy 30th Anniversary to the bestest parents a girl (named Kristi, and probably one named Sarah and one named Shell and a boy named Scott for that matter) could ever hope to have. So thankful for the example you've set for all of us. Hope that this "pearl" day is wonderful for both of you :)

Rivalry

Toledo Zoo Lights

Friday evening was spent at the Toledo Zoo's "Lights Before Christmas" event. It was a lot of fun with amazing light displays all throughout the zoo including all new LED lights, a set of trees animated in synchronization to music, a miniature train setup, and even Santa himself.
