Lunch in the Sun

This is mostly just a for fun post to let you know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth or forgotten about my little blog :) I know Grant has posted a couple of times recently but I've been sadly lacking in the update department. So here's a few pictures of my favorite twosome enjoying the sunshine today by eating their lunch outside. You know you've officially adjusted to life in the mid-west when you think nothing of the fact that you were wrapped up in earmuffs and mittens yesterday but enjoying lunch outside jacket free the next. Hopefully I'll have more to share soon :)

A Day at the Park and A Day at the Zoo

Today was just a fun day to be outside. In the morning I took the kids to Drake Sports Park and let them ride their bikes in their "Safety Town" (that's what I'm calling it anyway). Then we had some fun on the playground for a while.

Later, we all headed to the Toledo Zoo to meet up with Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Scott. Noah and Mikayla were so excited to see them!

More pictures can be found in the photo album.

Parks, Butterflies, and Ice Cream

Here's a few sets of pictures taken over the last week or so. You can see more in the Spring 2012 album.

Super Wednesday!

The kids behaved so well a couple weeks ago that we took them to the newly discovered "Beech Woods Park." It was so far the largest park I think I've seen since being down in Florida. The kids loved it so much that they asked to go again the next night! After the park, we stopped by the local ice cream shop for some tasty treats....

Butterflies!

On Saturday, the kids and I went to see the butterfly exhibit at the Oakland Mall. We got to go into a butterfly house with over 200 butterflies and learn a little bit about them and how they grow. The best part was getting to touch them! After that (yet again), we went and got ice cream, this time it was "butterfly" cones :)

Kitchen Fun

Here are some pictures of the kids last week playing around in the kitchen. Kristi's new keyboard for her laptop arrived while she was visiting the office in Peoria. It came wrapped in bubble wrap, which of course is just begging to be popped...
